General Information
Our trip out to Valley of fire the first time was our "plan b". We had arrived in Las Vegas a day late due to missed flight connections with Continental, who then proceeded to lose out luggage. We always have a list of places to visit in case our first plans fell through, and we finally got to use that list. We hiked around Valley of Fire while we waited for our luggage to arrive.
Because we enjoyed the area so much, and because it is very warm there in November compared to other parks, we decided to drive out to the park to camp rather than stay in Bryce Canyon for one more night. (I did not want to set up my tent in the snow.) We also decided to stay through the next day and do some more exploring along the park trails.
