Lodgepole Campground

Camping beneath a great sequoia by the edge of a stream

We selected this campground because we could reserve it over the Internet. (www.nps.gov). We asked a ranger there which campground would be closest to the climbing areas and the recommended this one. We were very happy to stay here. The cost may be considered steep for rock climbers, but it had a place to go for showers and snacks at a general store. There were also two places to go to get hamburgers and sandwiches. Bear boxes are provided and their use is required.

If you are cheap, you can camp in the parking lot for climbing at Crystal Rock and drive to Lodgepole to pay only for showers.
