Camping at Bandelier was very comfortable and during June it was very quiet. There are restrooms, but no showers, and there is no local place to get food. We planned ahead and brought cereal and milk in a cooler which tasted great in the cool mountain morning.
We drove in from the west and found out the roads are very very long and very very windy and short distances on the map are actually very very far. If you come up from the east from the city, then the trip is much shorter.
Coming in late at night was a bit confusing as it is hard to see the signs, but we eventually made it to the sites and were thankful for rest at last!
