Barker Dam Trail

The turtle on the roof at the display area

Along the Barker Dam trail, there is a display of petroglyphs. It is unfortunate that Walt Disney painted over the markings to film a movie while this was still private land. As a result, people continue to go out an paint on these petroglyphs which is still considered vandalism.

On the walk out from this display, there is a rock wall on the right that has many petroglyphs that have not been touched. Some exist near an area that has a lot of chalk marks from climbers who may not have seen the petroglyphs when they went to climb here. Please do not climb on petroglyphs.
